Binding Off

Sewn bind off

This type of bind off takes a little longer, and a little more planning. But it makes a beautiful, reversible, edge. It is easy to do: here's a tutorial from Knitting Daily.

Sloped bind off

This is useful for areas where you bind off in stages (neck shaping, shoulders, armholes). Here are instructions from Classic Elite Yarns. And this article from knitty.com shows how a sloped bind off makes picking up stitches around a neckline easier.

3-needle bind off

I usually do my shoulder seams this way. It makes a light seam that lies nice and flat. Tutorial from Knit Picks Community.
