Oaklet Shawl

Skill Level: Easy
A small triangular shawl with an easy lacy border, the Oaklet is a pretty little accessory that you can wear around your neck or across your shoulders. In the size shown, Oaklet uses about one skein of fingering weight yarn. It's worked on relatively large needles for extra drape, and the pattern is easy to modify.

finished measurements

48 inches wide x 20 inches at the point (blocked)

materials

Fingering weight yarn, 1 skein 100gm/350m. Shown in Sweatermaker Yarns Merino Silk 4-ply. (The shawl shown used the entire 350m).

supplies

3.75mm circular needles, 24" long.
tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers

tension/gauge

22 sts, 33 rows = 4 inches of stocking stitch. Gauge is not essential for this project, however a smaller shawl might be too small to reach around your shoulders.
