"Set the table."
"I can't, it's covered in mom's knitting books."
"Well, I guess we'll just have to eat in front of the tv again."
Does this happen in your house too? Luckily for me, my family has learned to live with (around, under) my stacks of knitting books.
I'm a sucker for these classic-type knits, although I don't know that I dress like that. Pale V-necks, twin sets, fair isle, sweater vests. (I have been informed by friends and my sons that sweater vests are not cool). Erika Knight's books of classic knits are beautifully photographed, and the simplicity of the colour palette is so elegant. It makes me think that life would be simpler if I could dress like that, and pose by open windows. Does this woman look like she every has to pick grated cheese out of the bottom of her socks? Stand in line at Wal-Mart? Pick dead earwigs off the trampoline?
