A seamless cardigan for the impetuous romantic in you. Worked from the top down, with seamless raglan construction, this cardigan works up quickly. An eyelet motif nips in the waist, and a soft ruffle with picot bind off finishes the cuffs and hem. Easy to modify the length to suit your style. Suitable for yarn with some drape.

Construction Notes Yoke and body are worked back and forth from the top down on circular needles. Sleeves are worked flat to the cuff and seamed during finishing. The button band is picked up and worked at the end, and the button loops are worked into the bind off row. I recommend knitting and blocking a test of the ruffle before beginning; a silk yarn, as shown in the sample, yields a soft, loose ruffle, while a springier yarn will make a bouncier, fuller ruffle. (A big thank you to my mom Cynara and her cousin Julie for testing Thornfield!) First and last images copyright Karen McKinnon.
