Twisted Rib
A Twisted rib is a lovely variation of a standard rib (although not as elastic). Working into the back of the ribs makes them quite tight. You can vary this easily by adding more purls between the twisted knits, which will make a reverse stocking stitch fabric with twisted ridges. Twisted Ribs also look lovely when cabled.
