Broken Rib Pattern
This is a k1, p1 Broken Rib, but you can use the same technique for any rib. It's a nice alternative to a standard rib. It won't be as springy, but is non-curling and makes a great border. A broken rib is also a little faster to work, because only every other row combines knit and purl stitches.
