Basketweave Stitch
This is one variation of a basketweave stitch. A simple combination of alternating blocks of knit and purl sts, a Basketweave stitch makes an illusion of woven knitted strips, like a basket. Basketweave makes a fun texture, and can be quite springy. Check out Classic Elite's free Basketweave Blanket for an example of this stitch in action.
